Developing Novel Imaging Regulatory Decision-Enabling Endpoints for Clinical Validation
Time: 1:40 pm
day: Pre-Conference Workshop Day
Details:
Most optometric instruments are designed to assess vision to achieve functional endpoints and efficacy. To better understand the structure-function relationship and create more reliable assessments, imaging endpoints are being developed. This workshop will dive into how the criteria for getting approval for imaging endpoints in the clinic.
In this session, you will:
- Find efficacy on multiple endpoints to increase cooperation and build a link between structure and function
- Discuss the current criteria for an efficacious endpoint – content validity, construct validity, variability and ability to show change
- Understand the performance characteristics of retinal imaging biomarkers
- Examine reduced endpoint variability to establish efficacy in treatment modalities
